Collecting belongings

Are you collecting belongings left in your room?

If you've departed your accommodation because of the Covid-19 lockdown and left your belongings, you'll be keen to return to collect them. The good news is that the UK Government advised on Thursday 21st that students can start collecting their belongings now.

However, as per new UK Government guidelines, anyone arriving into the UK from 8th June will need to self-quarantine for 14 days before they are allowed to leave. This means you'll need to stay at accommoation for this time, before you can leave the UK.

It's advisable students in this situation get belongings collected on their behalf.

We want to ensure we provide a safe environment for everyone to collect their belongings. To do this, we'll be using an appointment system to control the flow of students in and out of the building. This will allow current residents, staff and yourself to self-distance effectively.

In addition to this, please follow the guidelines below:
  • Only bring 1 member of your household with you to help pack and collect your items.
  • Don’t go to your accommodation if you or your household have any symptoms.
  • Whilst on site don't visit reception, unless you have called beforehand.
  • Adhere to self-distancing guidelines at all times.
  • Follow any other Covid-19 advice issued by UK Government.

You'll be able to request an appointment from today for 1st June Onwards. Find your local accommodation teams email address to book your appointment.

It’s essential that we continue to protect all of our students as well as our staff. Please do not return to your accommodation until you have a confirmed appointment. Appointments will be limited daily to ensure everyone is able to remain safe.

You'll need to ensure you remove all items from your room and any communal areas. For any items you no longer wish to keep, please use the refuse and recycling facilities available on site.
