Moving to a new city for university isn’t always as easy as it seems, especially when you don’t know the Central London area.

So, we’ve taken out the hard part and found some great spots to check out near our student accommodation, Park House in Earls Court that’ll suit whatever mood you’re in for different days.

  1. They’ve got history… and then some! The Natural History Museum is only an 18-minute walk away from Park House and a great way to spend your day when you have free time. Check out their website here for more details, and it’s free – very important for student living! https://www.nhm.ac.uk/

  1. Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens is a great study spot or even somewhere to visit with your new flatmates for a cute picnic in the park and a great way to bond with them. The Park is a huge green space with the Diana memorial fountain in Kensington Gardens, walk through to Hyde Park and there is also boating and swimming to enjoy on the Serpentine Lake. It’s only a 30-minute walk away from your student housing. Find out more here,  https://www.royalparks.org.uk/parks/hyde-park

  1. Go shopping down the Kensington High Street. It has something for everyone with independent shops to explore and designer shops to check out, the high street shops are all in the historic buildings and a dream for any students with a love for architecture and cool old buildings.

Not to mention it’s only a 15-minute walk away from your accommodation!

  1. Visit London’s most floral pub, The Churchill Arms which is decked in flowers, inside and out and a great place to snap some insta photos and also a classic English pub to enjoy some London culture! 1. Discover the famous Portobello Market that has everything you could ever need, from second hand clothes to mouth-watering food stalls. The main market day is on Saturday and is affordable on a student budget.
